Overview
Lead-acid battery plate lines are hard on plastic belts: acid mist, wet plates, curing heat. The Battery Production Mesh Belt is a 50.8 mm pitch open-grid belt molded from acid-resistant PP / PE specifically for that environment, with 22.5% open area for drainage and airflow under the plates. It's brick-layed with hinge rods like our other modular belts, so it runs straight, drives positively on sprockets and can be built to the width and length your line needs.

Is the Battery Production Mesh Belt available in food-grade material?
Yes, food-grade PP/PE (and POM where applicable) compliant with FDA and EU food-contact regulations is available, though for battery lines most customers order the acid-resistant grades. Compliance certificates can be provided with your order.
